Internet design and development – programming in HTML, PHP, CSS, XML, SQL, JavaScript and jQuery. Drupal CMS implementation, template design and custom module development.

Completed projects include Pentax Self-Support – converted site to Drupal CMS installation to improve functionality and ease of use for client. Site development incorporated the extensive configuration of the Taxonomy, Views and CCK modules (among others), customized theme template to match main corporate website, and complex publication control functionality utilizing the Revisioning and Content Access modules. Also modified the Vote Up/Down module to provide the client with user-friendly feedback from visitors to access the helpfulness of individual articles on the site.

Additional work at TOS includes building a complex internal order form utilizing Webform and various related modules, including the creation of a custom email template which delivers the order to the appropriate fulfillment department.

Built multiple Drupal 6.0 sites and WordPress 3.0 sites including installation, theme development, and module implementation and other customizations such as custom content types and templates (in Drupal using CCK, views, taxonomy, and contemplate modules). Other functionality added to these sites includes providing for multiple levels of authorized access with certain users being redirected to a personalized 'welcome' page, a modified slideshow module for online viewing of graphics, and an embedded video player. Created custom theme from a PDF document, including a custom page.tpl.php file.

Complete web-site structural planning; individual page design; supporting database design; development and implementation of web-based solutions for The Center for Transportation and the Environment at NCSU.

  • Complete overhaul of the existing site, starting from the ground up, including total redesign and rebuilding of the CTE website (http://www.itre.ncsu.edu/CTE/) implementing ASP, SQL with IIS 6.0 and SQL Server 2000 on a new MS 2003 server.
  • Built a database-driven site with a custom coded content-management area allowing easy access, document management and content additions by non-technical staff and users.
  • Also built a SQL/ASP-based application for complete control and management of "conference abstract submissions" and committee reviews submitted on-line for the 2005 International Conference on Ecology & Transportation.
  • Applications used include ASP, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS and SQL.  Responsible for SQL Server 2000 administration.

Improvements to usability, accessibility (specifically focusing on users with special needs and the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and Section 508 Compliance) and development of communication & feedback.
  • Wrote and presented a "Design, Accessibility and Section 508 Compliance Standards" document to be used on an agency-wide level.
  • Reviewed five additional ESC websites for content, design, and compliance with accessibility guidelines.
